About The Song
Four Years Of Ghosts is a song about almost.
Almost being chosen.
Almost being enough.
Almost building a future together.
The relationship at the centre of the song is not defined by a single betrayal or dramatic ending. Instead, it is shaped by a long series of contradictions. Moments of closeness followed by distance. Promises followed by hesitation. Intimacy followed by uncertainty.
Throughout the lyrics, the narrator looks back on four years filled with signals that never seemed to point in the same direction. There were shared experiences, affection, travel, memories and dreams. Yet there was also a recurring sense that something remained just out of reach.
The title reflects that feeling. Ghosts are not completely absent. They linger. They leave traces. They occupy space without ever becoming fully tangible. In the same way, the relationship often felt real and unreal at the same time — present enough to believe in, yet never entirely solid.

Genom hela texten ser berättaren tillbaka på fyra år fyllda av signaler som sällan pekade åt samma håll. Det fanns resor, minnen, skratt, närhet och framtidsdrömmar. Samtidigt fanns en återkommande känsla av att något hela tiden förblev utom räckhåll.
Titeln fångar just den upplevelsen. Spöken är inte helt borta. De lämnar spår efter sig. De finns kvar i utkanten av verkligheten utan att någonsin bli helt greppbara. På samma sätt kändes relationen ofta både verklig och overklig samtidigt — tillräckligt verklig för att tro på, men aldrig riktigt stadig nog att vila i.
